Old Car Adventures

Oh what an adventure this night was! Mal ran into a curb saying hi to some guy and popped her tire...so sad, but HILARIOUS! We spent forever on the side of the rode trying to get the old rusted tire off and the terrible spare on...oh when I say we I mean the nice boys that stopped to help us. :)... We were good moral support. It took forever because Mals car, like most of the cars on campus, is old, rusted and been through more than a few owners. We got some pretty good laughs out of the whole experience. Good news is we managed to eventually make it to the bon fire we were headed to (those things last forever) so it was all good. Oh the best part of this picture is Brianne and Mayo in our work outfits. No I am not kidding... that is actually what I had to wear to work. I actually loved that dress because it was so completely terrible. It wouldn't be cool if it was only half terrible. Good Times!

Cruising Hawaii

These are just a few pictures of our first driving adventure in Hawaii. It is so much more fun to drive around Hawaii than Utah because it is so beautiful and you get to drive next to the ocean a lot! I LOVE it! The video is really random, but shows a little bit of funny Mayo and the other girls. I think my voice sounds really weird in it, but what can you do. :)

"The One and Only...Foodland!"

This is Hannah in front of Laie's only real store. It is a fun little place...besides the fact that everything is twice the normal reasonable price. Going to Walmart here is so exciting because stuff is so cheap, but it always turns into a whole day event because its on the other side of the island.

This is why it's not the best idea to play basketball in flop flops (or as they call them in the islands- slippas). Story: One day Mal and I were looking for something to do when a bunch of guys asked us if we wanted to play some basketball in the parking lot. Well, thinking we wouldn't last that long with all these rough guys I didn't bother to go clear back to my dorm and get some better shoes. Long story short: I dribbled though a innocent looking puddle... little did I know there was thick slippery Hawaiian mud under that water. It is a miracle my pants ever came clean (lots of scrubbing and even more shout). My foot took a few weeks to heal because I didn't have any sandals that didn't rub on that hole. Good news is...the guys told me a brought respect to all Utah girls (they have a bad rep here) because I kept playing after I slipped. Mostly the whole thing was just funny. It's a good think I am used to totally embarrassing myself pretty much everyday of my life. :)

"The Circle Island Tour"

The first Saturday I was in Hawaii I went on what the call the Circle Island Tour. It was crazy to see so much of the Island in one day! We were all so exhausted by the end of the day, but it was so much fun! The picture above is one of the best look outs on the island (totally can't remember the name of it now). It is way more beautiful than the picture shows and it's oh so windy up there!

These are some of my first friends here. Mayo is the crazy Japanese girl on the right for all of you that have heard the stories:) Oh man I love these guys!

Mal looks awesome in this picture of the Pearl Harbor visitor center.

Just a few of pictures from the memorial. Its hard to describe the way that place makes you feel. It really makes you proud to live in this amazing country and grateful for all the service men that make that possible. It is a just really great memorial.

Oh and of course the famous swap meet. This is a really good place to buy lots of really fun and cool stuff you don't really need. :)
